OVERVIEW

We carried out mechanical services works involving the upgrading of the LTHW, hot & cold water supply and BMS systems.As part of the works, we replaced the existing 2no oil fed boilers with 3no natural gas fired boilers. The original cast iron boilers dated from the 1960’s, were manufactured by Crane and had been converted from coal to oil.Please find further details below.

THE RESULT

H&C Water Supply Supply & installation of: • New Cat 5 booster set • Installation of local unvented hot water heaters • Alterations to various existing CW supplies to various areas of the academyLTHW Supply & installation of: • 3no natural gas fired condensing boilers & flues • New primary heating circuit separated from existing heating system by PHE and fitted with pressurisation unit • Primary heating circuit pumps • Air & dirt separators • Secondary heating circuit pumpsModification of existing gas supplies to provide supplies to new boilers Flushing & cleaning of primary & secondary LTHW circuitsBMS Supply & installation of: • Automatic control system including new main control panel • Gas safety system
