OVERVIEW

We completed the design and installation of the mechanical services as part of a refurbishment for an Alston Bar & Beef restaurant located in the Manchester Corn Exchange.This included heating & cooling and fresh air supply & extract ventilation plant for the restaurant areas, and also extract ventilation for the kitchen.The surrounding units of the Corn Exchange were occupied and operational and the mechanical services were fed by a landlord system – this required careful co-ordination of activities to avoid disruption to the other tenants of the exchange.

THE RESULT

Supply and installation of: • 4-pipe fan coil system to the restaurant area; • General fresh air supply system including swirl grilles; • General stale air extract system including steel extract grilles and dual pitch slot diffusers; • WC extract system including air valves; • New kitchen canopy and extraction system including electrostatic precipitators and Ozone unit; • CHW pipework to provide heat dissipation circuit to other plant;
