OVERVIEW

This was a large and prestigious project located in London Docklands, and involved refurbishment of the ground and basement floors of the 129 room Lincoln Plaza hotel in Canary Wharf.Over the 2 floors and a mezzanine, the following areas featured: main reception, several speciality restaurants & bars (and associated kitchens), conferencing/ meeting areas and leisure facilities including spa, pool and gymnasium (and associated changing rooms).As part of the project we designed and installed a wide range of mechanical services to serve the areas above, details of which can be found below.

THE RESULT

• 7no 4-pipe fan coil air conditioning systems, 3no with dedicated AHU’s and 4no with dedicated heat recovery ventilation units; • Ventilation systems including: o 4no supply and extract o 2no extract o 2no supply o Kitchen extract systems including electrostatic precipitators & carbon filters o 2no dishwasher hood extraction • 6no plantrooms including o LTHW & CHW Pumps o CW storage o Pressurisation Units o Booster Sets o DHW calorifiers • BMS; • Close control DX cooling systems to service the requirements of the communication & server rooms; • New overdoor DX heating and cooling unit; • New MCWS, BCWS and DHWS water services throughout to serve all areas; • New Drainage installations throughout the demise; • New natural gas installation from the meter room to gas fired appliances in the kitchens; • Gas booster room containing packaged gas booster with interlocked supply and extract fans and gas solenoid valves;
